- First off, find the sleep-away camp’s philosophy. Are you comfortable with the summer camp’s goals or mission? If you don’t like what the camp stands for or what they aim to accomplish, move on to the next summer camp. - Involve you children in decisions. One of the easiest decisions you can allow your child to make is to let them pick what summer camp activities they want to participate in.
