Did you know, that on average, kids spend 32 hours a week watching television? If you find that your children are watching a lot of TV, Camp Half Moon will get them off the couch, and involved in wholesome cooperative activities? You can also use some of the activities done here at Camp Half Moon to take place of the television.
Some CHM indoor activities that can also be done at home include dance lessons, yoga, crafts, drama, martial arts, wood working, tutoring, and aerobics. With a little bit of free space and creativity, you can bond with your children while sharing that activities that you both enjoy.
You can also have a scavenger hunt in the house. Hide all the remotes and game console controllers around the house in places your child will never think to look. This is a fun game and will get your child up and moving. By the time they find the remotes, 9 times out of 10 they wouldn’t even want to watch TV anymore.
