To
help view camp as a home away from home each day camper is provided with
a cot and assigned to a cabin or platform tent (by age and gender) which
acts as their home base while at camp. This is where campers will keep
their belongings, change for swimming and boating and enjoy chatting with
their friends and counselors during rest hour. The accommodations provide
a safe and comfortable haven for Thursday night sleepovers. Please note
that our day campers are provided with accommodations which are independent
from those provided for our resident campers.

Campers
are swim tested on their first day of camp and placed in the appropriate
Red Cross swim level. Swim lessons are the only required activity and
are provided daily in our Olympic size heated swimming pool.

TIGERS
We call our youngest campers, ages 3 & 4, the tigers.
This group of
youngsters is guided through the day’s activities by their group
leaders who are always at their side. To keep up their energy the Tigers
enjoy camp provided morning & afternoon snack. Lunch is served at
11:30 a.m.Quiet play following lunch provides time to reflect on nature’s
many wonders, enjoy stories & songs, or engage in some organized free
play before an all camp rest hour. Participation in age appropriate activities,
including daily swim lessons, gives the Tigers weeks of variety.
PIONEERS
Campers who have not yet been through the first grade, generally five
and six year olds, are called the Pioneers.
In an effort to meet the individual
needs of this group, campers are given a choice of daily activities, while
still being nurtured and guided by their group leaders who are always
at their side. To keep up their energy the pioneers enjoy a camp provided
morning and afternoon snack. Lunch is served at 12:15 followed by a all
camp rest time. Participation in age appropriate activities, including
daily swim lessons in our heated pool, gives the pioneers weeks of variety.
All of our Day Campers, including
the Tigers and Pioneers are invited and enjoy participating in our WEEKLY
Thursday night campfire program and sleepover.

Thursdays
is sleepover time and all our day campers are invited. Campers participate
in the evening campfire and t hen retire, with their counselor, to their
cabins for a good nights rest. Dinner and breakfast are included. Remember
to send your campers favorite PJ's and overnight things.

A
hot lunch is provided daily in our dining room overlooking Lake Buel.
We ask that you not send lunch with your child. If your camper has any
dietary restrictions please be sure to discuss them with the Director
and note them on your campers health form. We ask that you not send lunch
with your child without prior approval from the Director.

We are happy to
have your camper join us for breakfast and/or dinner should you occasionally
be unable to meet the pick up & drop off times. Please call the office
in advance for details and to make reservations. The fee is $15.00 per
hour before 8:30 a.m. and after 4:30 p.m.

Transportation
to and from camp is available in our Half Moon vans for a nominal fee.
Pick up & drop off times vary depending on the location. When you
request transportation you are purchasing a seat and therefore no refunds
will be given should you decide to pick up or drop off your camper on
any given day. Please see application form for specific times and locations.
